Harnessing partnerships for healthy and sustainable built environment

Fexillon returned to the Smart Buildings Show 2024, where our CTO, Dmitrijs Jurins, joined Mark Lawrance, Director of Strategic Accounts at Pressac, for a presentation on Fexillon and Pressac’s collaboration. Together, they highlighted how our partnership enables us to deliver smarter solutions that empower building owners to achieve their sustainability targets through data-driven insights.

The Smart Buildings Show is the UK’s largest event dedicated to the smart buildings industry, bringing together professionals to explore cutting-edge technologies, discuss advancements, and discover sustainable solutions that enhance building efficiency.

Fexillon presented the Fexillon Twin for Sustainability platform, a leading smart building solution hosted on Microsoft Azure. The platform enables building owners to optimise building performance, monitor environmental factors in real-time, and achieve sustainability goals. Through our co-innovation approach, Fexillon partners with organisations such as Pressac to provide secure, scalable solutions that support the asset lifecycle.

Fexillon’s collaboration with Pressac has accelerated our hardware certification to the RESET standard, enabling both companies to offer comprehensive solutions to building owners working towards decarbonisation and net-zero strategies. Together, Fexillon and Pressac’s technologies help secure operational data and provide integrated monitoring systems.

Smart synergies for the decarbonisation of the built environment

Kieran Beggan, CEO of Fexillon
, comments: “We are thrilled to return to the Smart Buildings Show alongside our valued partner, Pressac. Our ongoing collaboration enables us to provide smarter, more sustainable solutions that empower building owners to meet their sustainability targets through data-driven insights. This co-innovation approach is central to delivering real-time performance monitoring and long-term value. We look forward to sharing our expertise and vision with the industry at this key event.”

Mark Lawrance, Director of Strategic Accounts at Pressac, adds: “The Smart Buildings Show has always been our flagship event. Each year, we look forward to engaging with people who share our passion for leveraging technology in the built environment. This year, visitors will have the opportunity to explore our range of wireless smart sensors and discover the value of collaborating with an ecosystem of partners to deliver broader benefits for their organisations.”

Building owners and operators, especially those running large, cross-regional portfolios, are under pressure due to uncertainties related to sustainability, ESG, and decarbonisation initiatives, as well as evolving legislation currently in development or active circulation.

Technology plays a pivotal role in driving sustainability initiatives. It enables us to monitor, manage, and optimise energy use in real-time, making it possible to achieve sustainability goals more effectively. An integration of Internet of Things (IoT) devices in buildings allows for continuous monitoring of energy consumption, enabling proactive maintenance and optimisation. In energy-heavy industries, advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning can optimise production processes, reduce waste, and improve energy efficiency.
